Obituary for Mrs. Adele D. Pickens
Mrs. Adele D. Pickens
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA, for Mrs. Adele D. Pickens, 80, who entered eternal rest, Friday, January 29, 2021 at Opelousas General Health System.
Interment will be in St. Leo the Great Catholic Cemetery in Leonville, LA. Rev. Lambert Lein, S.V.D. will officiate at the Mass of Christian burial.
Mrs. Pickens is survived by her husband, Mr. Willie Pickens, Sr. of Opelousas, LA; a son, Willie Pickens, Jr. (Sylvia) of Opelousas, LA; four daughters, Gwendolyn Pickens of Opelousas, LA, Vertise Pickens of Ruston, LA, Cynthia Lavigne (Paul) of Ville Platte, LA and Cornelia Pickens of Opelousas, LA; a sister, Dorothy Payne of Opelousas, LA; a sister-in-law, Clementine Pickens of Opelousas, LA; eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Pickens was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Davis & Frances Mayon Davis; a brother, Felix Davis; four sisters, Sophie Pickens, Laura Colomb, Shirley Semien and Frances Davis.
Visiting hours will be observed from 9:00 AM to 11:45 AM Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Williams Funeral Home.
