      Graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Serenity Memorial Park in Opelousas, LA, for Mrs. Ida Thomas Hicks, 70, who entered eternal rest, Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Opelousas General Health System.
      Cherishing her memories are her daughters, Dawn Angelique Hicks and Whitney Re’She Hicks of Opelousas, LA; one sister, Josephine Thomas; one brother, Adam Thomas both of Opelousas, LA; the lights of her life her grandchildren, Al’lex I. Hicks, Isiah D. Hicks, Serenity F. Hicks, and Leilani Winbush; two godchildren, Christie Gale Coleman of Opelousas, LA, whom she raised as a loving daughter and Kiara Savoy of Beaumont, TX; a special friend, Diane Lewis Vinatte of Harvey, LA, who she grew to love as a sister and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
      Mrs. Hicks was preceded in death by parents, Alex Thomas and Celestine Thomas; her brother, Artre Lawrence “Poochie” Frank and her sister, Eliza Diana Thomas Dunbar.
