      Obituary
      LEONVILLE - A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary “Zipper” Nola Hebert Lanclos will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 12:00 noon at St. Leo Catholic Church in Leonville; the rosary will be recited at 11:40 a.m. in the church. Fr. Matthew Higginbotham will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal will follow in the church cemetery.

      Mary “Zipper”, age 70, a native of Opelousas, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 10, 2021, at Tri Community Nursing Home in Palmetto.

      In her early years, Mary enjoyed bowling and playing cards. She loved baking, cooking and gathering with family and friends. Mary always took pride in how she presented herself to the world. Mary will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.

      She is survived by her step-daughters, Julie Langwell and Kelly Barker; brothers, Mickey Nolan Hebert and Rickey J. Hebert; sister, Gloria Ann Hebert Scruggins; 4 step-grandchildren, Mason and Hugh Langwell, and Ryan and Cade Barker; god daughter, Angela Lahaye; god son, Blake Hooks; nieces, Tonya Quebedeaux and Dana Callegan, great-nieces, Amber Shipp, Alayna Callegan and Ainsley Callegan; great nephews, Jarrid Rachal and Ayden Callegan; great-great-nieces, Adalynn Hebert and Lillian Rachal; great-great-nephew, Andrew Rachal.

      She was preceded in death by her husband Jeffery Lee Lanclos; parents, Mitchell Eldon Hebert and Mary Lucille Johnson Hebert; sisters, Mary Alice Faye Hebert Colettie and Marie Elaine Mcdaniel Hebert; brother, Mitchell Eldon Hebert, Jr.; and nephew, Joey Anthony Colettie.

      Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. at Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas.
