      Obituary
      Opelousas – A Celebration of Life will be held for Peter Tennyson Schad on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas; with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas.

      Peter, age 62, a resident of Opelousas, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.

      Peter loved meeting new people and greeting everyone he met with a handshake. He loved listening to music and attending any event where music was playing. Peter enjoyed competing at the Special Olympics in his younger years. He won numerous medals and trophies for swimming and running. Peter will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

      Peter is survived by his brother, Ted Schad and wife, Marsha; sisters, Liv Schad and Roberta Gay Hill; and a host of beloved caregivers.

      Peter was preceded in death by his father, Theodore George Schad, Jr. and mother, Karma Cundell Schad.
