      Obituary for Mr. Ralph Sebastian Lemon
      OBITUARY
      Raphael “Ralph” Sebastian Lemon, 87, was born on February 11, 1934 to the late Sebastian and Beatrice Lemon. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Jane Lemelle Lemon of Leonville, LA.
      Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville, LA.
      Interment will be in St. Leo the Great Catholic Cemetery. Father Darren Eldridge will officiate at the Mass of Christian burial.
      Ralph was a devoted father, husband, grandfather, uncle, and a lifelong resident and parishioner of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church of Leonville, Louisiana where he served on the parish council. He was grand knight of the Knights of Peter Claver Father Charles Council #46 for 20 years. Ralph was also recognized for having attained 53 years of meritorious service by the National Council of the Knights of Peter Claver. In addition, he was a life-time member of the Inseparable Friends Benevolent Society, Prairie Laurent, LA and the son of a founding member. He worked as a machinist for Standard Fittings Inc., Opelousas, and retired from Tools International Corp., Broussard, LA after a successful career. He enjoyed his Chevy Blazer, fishing, taking care of his lawn, going to the casino, watching Wheel of Fortune and the New Orleans Saints, and spending Sunday afternoons with his family.
      On January 5, 1957, Ralph and Jane were united in Holy Matrimony and to their union, five children were born, Wanda Gale Lastrapes (Keith) of Jacksonville, FL; Sandra Allen (Willie) of Kenner, LA; Dwayne Lemon, Ramona Lynn Augustine (Walter), and Beatrice “Bea” Lemon, all of Leonville, LA. He was blessed with eight grandchildren Henley (Linda), Laramie (Josh), Willie, Rico, Bianca, Tiffany, Ryan (Samantha), and Kirsten; three great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Addison, and Sebastian. Also left to cherish his memory are Charlene “Peachy” Lemon; his sister-in-law, Velma Lemelle; five godchildren, Geneva Semien, Lora Auzenne, Delores White, Clyde Lemelle, and Stephen Auzenne; devoted care-takers, Lena Henry and Vergie Sam; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
      On Saturday, January 22, 2022, Ralph peacefully entered eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Thomas, Clarence, Lawrence, Earl, Whitney; and four sisters, Eva, Levy, May, and Helen.
