      Obituary for Mr. Wilton Gradnigo, Jr.
      OPELOUSAS - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville for Mr. Wilton Gradnigo, Jr. a/k/a Tu-tu, 68, who passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022 at home in Opelousas. Following cremation, Wilton Jr. will be interred with his parents in St. Leo Cemetery in Leonville.
      Father Darren Eldridge will be officiating the funeral services.
      Wilton Jr. is survived by: four brothers: Jeff Gradnigo (and his wife, Terry) of Leonville, Simpson Gradnigo (Peggy) of Abbeville, Samuel Gradnigo (Miranda) of Jennings, and Anthony Gradnigo (LaKera) of Carencro; and two sisters: Joanna Gradnigo Auzenne (and her husband, John) and Marie Gradnigo Sostand (Calvin), both of Opelousas, three aunts: Thelma Davis, Rita Woods, and Margaret Thomas all of Opelousas; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
      Wilton Jr. spent much of his long life caring for family and others. He was a kind soul, who will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
      He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilton Gradnigo, Sr. and Mary Thomas Gradnigo; and his maternal grandparents, Henry Thomas, Jr. and Irene Tyler Thomas, as well as his paternal grandparents, Martin Gradnigo and Olivia Fields.
      In lieu of visitation, since Wilton Jr. has been cremated, A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church located at 126 Church Road in Leonville, LA.
