Obituary for Mrs. Barbara Williams Mrs. Barbara Williams Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA, for Mrs. Barbara Williams, 80, who entered eternal rest, Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at her residence in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in St. Landry Catholic Cemetery. Rev. Rofinus Jas, S.V.D. will officiate the Mass of Christian burial. Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband, James C. Williams, Sr. of Opelousas, LA; a son, Charles L. Williams, Sr. (Samantha) of Opelousas, LA; two daughters, Bernadette Williams of Opelousas, LA and Rebecca Papillion (Ricky) of Katy, TX; a daughter-in-law, Anna Williams of Tacoma, WA; a brother, Anthony Casimere of Katy, TX; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Walls of Spring, TX and Jeretta Jacobs (Murphy) of Humble, TX; two brothers-in-law, Wallace Williams (Bertha) of Houston, TX and Louis Walls, Jr. of Houston, TX; nine grandchildren, Bryant Williams (Tasha), Steven Williams, Jamar Williams, Lamar Williams, Brittnie Williams, Latosha Maupin (LaVaunt, III), Jasmine Williams, Charles Williams, Jr. and Marcus Williams; two great grandchildren, LaVaunt Maupin, IV and Messiah Williams; and a host of extended family members and friends. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her son, James C. Williams, Jr.; parents, Charles Casimere & LouHester Retell Casimere; two brothers, Alvin Casimere and Roland Casimere, Sr.; two sisters, Rebecca Nichols and Wanda Shaw and a grandson, Christian Guillory. Visiting hours will be observed from 8:00 AM to 9:45 AM Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Williams Funeral Home.
