    (Research):«b»According to oral history, Joseph Henry Darjean and his brother Jean Jacque was both shot by a white man on the same day June 29, 1904 when they were caught stealing watermelons. According to the Ancestry.com member "abroussard78", Joseph Henry Darjean died on Jan 4, 1904 and Jean Jacque Darjean on June 29, 1904. That would be almost 1/2 year difference. We believe more that Joseph Henry died on the same day as Jean Jacque on June 29, 1904.

    (Research):The 1900 Census shows her as being born in April 1839 that would make her 49 years old when her last child was born.
    Tameka said that Josephine was 82 years old when she died in 1928, which would make her born in about 1846. Still trying to verify which birhtday could be the correct one.
