      Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, February 3, 2017 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Grand Coteau, LA, for Mr. Gabriel Perrodin, 79, who entered eternal rest, Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Opelousas General Health System.
      Interment will be in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Cemetery.
      Mr. Perrodin is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gloria Ann Dargin Perrodin of Sunset, LA; two sons, Joseph Gilbert Perrodin of Sunset, LA and Gabriel Perrodin, Jr. (Mary) of Opelousas, LA; two brothers, Clinton Perrodin (Mary) and Landry Perrodin both of Bellevue, LA; three sisters, Irma Jean Stmond of Los Angeles, CA, Earline Jenkins of Houston, TX and Evelyn White of Lawtell, LA; 5 grandchildren, Tashia Perrodin, Olivia Narada Bernard (Trea), Joseph Perrodin, Derriana Perrodin and Jehi'el Perrodin; 4 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
      Mr. Perrodin was preceded in death by his parents, Androl Perrodin & Sedonia Colais Perrodin; a brother, Oliver Perrodin; two sisters, Dorothy Singleton and Lois Jolivette.
      Visiting hours will be observed from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM Friday, February 3, 2017 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM.

      SUNSET ~ Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 8, 2020 at a 1:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Grand Coteau for Gloria Ann Perrodin, age 76, who passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020 at her residence in Sunset.

      Interment will be in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Grand Coteau. The Rev. Derrick Weingartner, pastor of St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.

      Mrs. Perrodin was a native of Bellevue and a resident of Sunset. She was a parishioner of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church where she was a member of the choir and the CTK rosary group. Ms. Gloria was a kind soul who never met a stranger; she loved big, and she loved all. Her pride and joy were her beloved husband, her children and her grandchildren. Everyone she saw was greeted with a big hug and a kiss, and all of her bank patrons felt like they had her undivided attention. She made everyone feel special with her affection, her food, and her fellowship as a devoted church member of Christ the King parish. Her family and dear friends will especially miss her soft-spoken demeanor and her sweet ways.

      Survivors include two sons, Gilbert "Guilbo" Perrodin and Gabriel "Pandy" Perrodin, Jr. and his wife, Mary; five grandchildren, Tasha' Perrodin, Narada Perrodin, JP Perrodin, Derriona Perrodin and Jehi'el Perrodin; one step grandson, Kerry Thomas; four great grandchildren, Desmond Roberts, Kylee Roberts, Joshua Jenkins and Kaine Bernard; one brother, Peter Francis Dargin, Sr. and his wife, Catherine; four sisters, Fabiola Lemonia, Helen Biagas and her husband, Joseph Ronald, Theresa Lavergne and her husband, Raphael, and Brenda Mary Mamou and her husband, Clancy; one sister-in-law, Viola Dargin; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, especially one niece in particular, Mary Hansberry, affectionately known as "Sis".

      She was preceded in death by her husband, Gabriel Perrodin, Sr.; her parents, Luke and Mary Maudrie Dargin; three sisters, Joyce Ann Jackson and her husband, Rufus, Elizabeth Morrison and her husband, Larry, and Margaret Hebert; one brother, Abram Dargin; and one brother-in-law, Frederick Lemonia.

      A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.

      The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 a.m. Saturday until service time on Saturday.

      Pallbearers will be Malcolm Chaisson, Bryant Chaisson, Joseph Terry Morrisson, Joseph Biagas, Oliver Perrodin, Jr. and Johnny Bartholemew Lavergne. Honorary pallbearers will be Gilbert Perrodin, Gabriel Perrodin, Jr., Jehi'el Perrodin, JP Perrodin, Michael Perrodin and Peter Francis Dargin.

      The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to Dr. Fei, Grace Hospice and to her very best friend, Linda Walker.
